Sony Xperia M2 Aqua Hands-on Video And Photo - Sony Xperia M2 Aqua officially announced two weeks ago. As the name suggests, the Sony Xperia M2 Aqua is a water-resistant version of the Xperia M2 which was launched earlier this year. Interestingly, Sony adds features water-resistant to a higher level in Aqua M2 Xperia (IP68) than the flagship smartphone Xperia Z2 (IP58). IP68 feature allows Sony Xperia M2 1.5m Aqua can survive in water for 30 minutes. 


In addition to adding features water-resistant IP68, Sony Xperia M2 Aqua also launched with Android 4.4.2 out of the box KitKat. While Sony Xperia M2 was launched with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Other minor changes, the Sony Xperia M2 Aqua uses a USB port, 3.5mm jack and microSD card slot with waterproof cover. Sony Xperia M2 Aqua no longer use the LED below the display and just have a notification LED on the top of the display. 

In addition to the differences mentioned above, the Sony Xperia M2 Aqua still carries the same specs as the Xperia carried M2. If you forget, the Sony Xperia M2 Aqua has a 4.8-inch display with qHD resolution, 1.2 GHz processor Snapdragon core qad-400, Adreno 305, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, an 8MP camera and 2300mAh battery.
